By confirming the wellbore’s inner diameter in a single run, it offers precise identification, reducing the need for multiple drift runs. This versatility extends to handling known and unknown well restrictions, adapting incrementally to navigate the wellbore effectively.

The WellDrift™ is not limited to known restrictions and effectively addresses unknown challenges, such as scale deposits or collapsed tubing. When the WellDrift™ encounters a restriction within the well, light downward jarring reduces the outer diameter in precise 0.100-inch increments until the obstruction is successfully bypassed. To ensure accuracy, the tool features a mechanism that prevents multiple diameter collapses due to inertia, guaranteeing that only one step is reduced at a time.

FEATURES

• Angle profiled keys ensure a smooth transition where no abrupt, square shoulders might cause the tool to get stuck
• Elongated keys positioned close together offer stability and complete radial coverage while preventing the tool from inadvertently passing through a restriction without collapsing
• Emergency ‘Jar Up’ feature collapses the keys if difficulties are encountered during the retrieval process, ensuring the tool can be safely and efficiently removed from the well (e.g. in the event of debris falling behind the drift while operating in the well)
